IT'S A GIRL!

Image98

We just found out this afternoon that the newest member of the family is going to be a baby girl! She should be making her debut around April 8. Ethan was so sure he was going to get a baby brother. He wasn't happy about the news at first, but then we reminded him that a little girl wouldn't want to play with his tractors and trucks. He thought about it for a few minutes, then by the time we left the doctor's office he was telling everyone he was going to have a baby sister. We still haven't made up our mind on a name. I'll let you know when you do.

Twick or Tweet!

014
023021Well, Halloween this year was a blast! This was our first year going house to house and Ethan loved it. He was a Top Gun fighter pilot. His favorite part of his costume was his "helmet hat". Nana came with us this year because Poppy was away deer hunting. After we visited the gang at Whitson-Morgan we trick or treated Noni and PaPa's house. We picked up Nate and Uncle Greg and were on our way. The boys were so cute! Ethan would run up to each house and say, "Twick or Tweet!". Then he would say, "OK. We need another house." After we went to several houses, we went down to Wal-Mart and visited Fireman Larry and the Clarksville Fire Department. They bring the firetrucks and hand out candy to the kids every year. It was a long night and we were all tired, but Ethan made sure he got to eat some of his candy before we went to bed!

This was Ethan's first trip to the Arkansas State Fair. Our main goal was to at least ride the farris wheel. We were a little worried about Ethan being scared of some of the rides, but he was ready to ride the roller coasters by the time we done. He rode every ride he was tall enough for. His favorite was the little roller coaster.

After we left the state fair, we remembered the Blue Angels were flying at the air show at Jacksonville Air Force Base. We decided to drive out and see what time they would be taking off. Chris was more excited about this than Ethan! We couldn't have timed it any better. We literally drove up and got out of the car and the Blue Angels started their engines. They were incredible! By the end of their routine, poor Ethan had enough. He passed out on Nana's shoulder so we headed home.

The Pumpkin Patch

We made our annual pilgrimage to the pumpkin patch. Ethan of course had a blast as usual. After we got the obligatory pumpkin picture out of the way, Ethan had a blast playing in the hay. Then Ethan, Poppy and Daddy went on a hay ride. We also got to feed to baby goats. Ethan is asking for a baby goat for Christmas! After watching the pig races (yes, the pig races), we headed home.
