The Portrait

Here is my first try at an actual portrait for my photography class. I was extremely happy with this photo. The only problem with my new foray into professional-ish photography is that I had to take 150 pictures to get this one great shot! Does that improve with experience or do I just have really fast kids?!

Too Much Fun!!!

Nana and Poppy came for a visit this weekend. Needless to say it was the usual fun filled, go to you fall down good time. Ava had too much fun and just crashed in the middle of her toys. Poor baby!

Going for a walk...

Nana and Poppy came up for a visit this weekend. It was so beautiful outside we decided to take a walk on the nature trail. Ethan rode his scooter, aka his suiter!

Ethan's first solo ride on Hank

Ethan has been wanting to take a ride on Hank for a while. Hank is what we like to call "spirited". So Chris took him out and gave him a little warm up before we put Ethan on him. Ethan and Hank both did great. I think we may have to start thinking about getting a pony for my little cowboy!

And of course, Daddy's favorite cow...Clarabelle.

Clarabelle even tried to give Ava sugars.

Little Miss Independent

 

Ava decided it was time to start feeding herself last night. Being the kind of mom that just goes with the flow, I just let her get after it.

And of course, the sweet baby in the tub afterward!!!

Ava's Favorite Hangout

"Hey, do you see Ava?"
"She's under the bar stool."

She just hangs out under the bar stool. Sometimes for 10 or 20 minutes, which is hours in toddler time! I don't know what it is about the bar stool, but she loves it. Oh, and don't even try to load the dishwasher when Ava is any where near. She beelines it over to help. Maybe she is going to be our little kitchen helper when she gets bigger. A Martha Stewart in the making?

 

Here Comes Santa Claus...

Santa was good to everybody this year. It was wild as usual. We all had such a great time with the family. Ethan's favorite toy he got this year was his razor scooter (or suiter in Ethan talk). Ava's favorite toy was her vSmile walker, even though I think she did have more fun with her box. Ava also got her very first Juicy suit from her favorite Aunt Becka.
